The length of treatment is different for every person.
Treatment length depends on many factors, including an individual’s treatment goals and the kinds of help they are looking for in therapy. For some, therapy may be as brief as 8-12 sessions. For others, therapy may last a year or longer.
During our first few sessions we will work collaboratively to identify your treatment goals and devise a treatment strategy for how we plan to achieve them. We will identify ways to measure our progress towards these goals and routinely check-in about our progress together. This process is called treatment progress monitoring and is an important way for me to ensure we achieve your goals as quickly and efficiently as possible.
